Catering Academy visit is anything but Academic.

Earlier this month we had a visit from Catering Academy Limited who describe themselves as “a dynamic, fresh and vibrant independent catering company, building a reputation for bringing innovative solutions to a wide range of catering and ancillary services for the Business and Industry, Education and Healthcare sectors”. This maxim directly ties in with our own brand values here at Birtwistles.

The visitors included:

Northern Regional Development Chef – Don Kirkpatrick
Southern Regional Development Chef – Adrian Coey
Midlands Regional Development Chef – Dan Farrand
Purchasing Director – Robert Smith

We have been a preferred supplier to Catering Academy Limited for the past 15 months and the relationship is going from strength to strength. The primary reason for the visit was for both companies to gain a better understanding of each other’s business and to look at how we can work together moving forward. During their visit we took the opportunity to present an exciting new range of products that compliment the new school regulations.

Whilst here the Academy team did the site tour accompanied by our Technical Manager, Suzy Ravenscroft. During the tour they couldn’t resist turning their hands to some tricky sausage making. They then finished off the day in our modern culinary centre where they could do some sausage tasting with an exciting and very tasty new flavour profile. A range of our marinated products also featured on the menu along with our slider burger or mini burger.

A great day was had by all and we look forward to working with the Catering Academy team in the future.
