A royal visit to our factory

We recently welcomed 2 representatives from The Royal Bank of Scotland to our factory on Tuesday 30th June as part of an ongoing “Day in the Factory” initiative.

6 staff from RBS have now worked a full shift in our business to gain a better understanding of how a national catering butcher can deliver to over 1300 customers every day of the week.

These days are designed to give the RBS staff a full insight in to our operation from production, to packing and picking of orders plus attending management meetings. On this occasion our visitors tried their hand at sausage manufacture

Here’s what Paula Robertson, Relationship Manager at RBS, had to say following her visit:

“I know we said it was amazing on the day but I must impress that it really was. It was very insightful and you have some great loyal staff. Thank you to everyone for looking after us and allowing us to make sausages for the first time ever.”

We look forward to welcoming more staff from RBS in the future.

This is another example of our “open-door” policy, allowing visitors to gain an insight into the expertise and passion that goes into producing truly great meat here at Birtwistles.
