Red & Blue Restaurant Group enjoy a colourful visit to our site

On Tuesday 16th June we welcomed Red & Blue Restaurant Group to our site. After introductions and light refreshments the eight members of the Red & Blue team made full use of the Birtwistles boardroom to hold their monthly sales meeting.

Shortly after lunch, the team were guided around the factory where they saw first-hand the full operation of Birtwistles Catering Butchers. Some members of the team also had a go at making sausages but I think it’s safe to say Richard’s job is safe for now!

After the factory tour and a well-earned coffee, the team was then taken to our on-site culinary centre, where Kevin Bleasdale our master butcher presented a range of new products. All chefs and management were very impressed with what they saw and have already started to incorporate some of the new products into their menus.

Overall the day was a huge success and we are looking to put another date in the diary for some of the younger chef’s to come along and see how Birtwistles works.
