Flying Visit to North West Air Ambulance

Our Head of People Talent and Culture, Mark Piper, went to visit the North West Air Ambulance Charity to present them with a cheque for £7,000.

Mark met with Chris Andrews, Corporate Partnership Officer and Gaynor Lanceley, Legacy Officer & Patient Support Co-ordinator and had a site visit. Whilst looking around the helicopter it had to take off on a mission! It was all very exciting.

Mark was astonished to learn that it costs £9.5 million a year to keep the Air Ambulance service flying which is entirely funded by public donations, fundraising activity, lottery membership and retail outlets.

Mark said “it was a very humbling experience to visit the NWAA charity today and a real pleasure to be able to hand them a cheque to help in their life saving work”.
