Statement re Loscoe Chilled Foods

This statement is to confirm that Birtwistles do not, and have never purchased from Loscoe Chilled Foods.

The National Food Crime Unit (NFCU), Part of the FSA, revealed that a Supplier who we now know as Loscoe, have been selling large volumes of pre-packed cooked Beef which is South American origin, and selling it as British, this is major food fraud.

This incident was reported to the FSA within their annual report in December 2022, at which time it entered the public domain. If you have any concerns or questions, please do not hesitate to contact me direct.
