Celebrating British Sausage Week with Rossendale Scout Group
British Sausage Week may not start until 2nd November… but it’s never too early to start enjoying some of our finest sausages with friends.
When we heard that the Beaver Colony and Cub Pack from the 43rd Rossendale Scout Group were hosting an indoor campfire and sausage sizzle, we just couldn’t resist helping out by donating some of our delicious creations for them to try.
We love doing our bit to help positive local organisations like this and it also gave us the opportunity to get some feedback on our sausages ahead of one of the biggest events in every catering butcher’s calendar.
Everyone knows that we’re famous for our spectacular tasting sausages but how would their succulence and flavour stack up against discerning young palates of the Beaver Colony and Cub Pack? We gave them the opportunity to taste and review the following sausages:
- Dry Cured Smoked Bacon with Winterberries
- Pork with Caramelised Apple
- Mature Cheddar Cheese & Black Pudding
- BBQ Pulled Pork
- Lamb Harissa
- Farmhouse Sausage
- Hog Roast Sausage
Unsurprisingly, they absolutely loved every single variety and flavour. Not a sausage was left after the campfire and we received a resounding thumbs-up from all the beavers, cubs and parents at the event.
